Race for the Cure

I just want to make anyone reading this blog aware of a great cause to donate to. Many of you have read or heard about my girlfriend Marti who is battling Multiple Myeloma. Here's a little bit of info about the race they have entered. Marti is planning on being there, she may or may not be in the race but for certain, she is in the race of her lifetime. No pressure but if you are in need of some deductions at tax time, here is a great answer to that problem.

An except from Adam's last email update:
Don't forget about the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) 5K race on Feb 23. http://www.mmrfrace.org/2008/phoenix.html We have formed Team Angst and have over 90 people signed up to participate (our goal was 100!). Even better is that to date we have raised over $3000 (well on our way to our goal of $5000!) And that doesn't include all of you who donated but the donations didn't make it to Team Angst!! No worries there, it all goes to the MMRF one way or another but if you don't see your name on the Team Angst fundraising page, contact Amelia Lewis at (203) 652-0205, or at lewisa@themmrf.org and ask her to move your contribution to Team Angst. If you have yet to sign up to contribute, make sure your pop-up blocker is off when you select the Team Angst fundraising page.

The Princess & her court

Only a baby sister could get her two older sisters to dress up and prance around the house. Too bad I didn't get my camera out earlier because Reagan did have a crown on as well. Now that is something we don't see often around here. All though they fight like cats and dogs from time to time, the love they share is like no other. If only we all could mend our silly differance as easily as children do. Ahh, wouldn't life be much more pleasant?

The Raabe's have big news!!! No, it's not another baby. :) Last week Chris accepted a job in Omaha...we're moving! Our house will be going on the market soon although we don't plan to move until school is out. Please be praying for the buyer of our home and the seller of our new home.

We do believe in the power of God. There are lots of unanswered questions but we know without a doubt that He will guide us to the very location He needs us. Personally, I would like to know the timing and details...that's just the woman I am. (Aren't we all?)

I had an incredible week in Phoenix with my friend Marti...isn't she simply beautiful? Some of you have asked how Marti is doing. She has a great attitude and the chemo, radiation, etc seems to be working. Now if we could just get her to lay around alittle more.

I went to Arizona to spend some QT with Marti and take her to some doc visits which I did but I also was able to see some dear sweet friends. A huge thanks to Eric, Karen and Regina for putting me up for a whole week. Their dog was not especially fond of me, luckily I got out of there unscathed. Another huge thank you to Grandma for letting me drive her "old" minivan all over the valley for 6 days. And then there is Tammy, this girl's picture should be next to the definition of "friend." She always knows my favorite everything and thinks of others before herself. I would not be complete without her friendship. Thank you Tammy for the 50 pounds of clothing and hairbows I brought home to Olivia. Kimberly, Kim, Kim, Vicki, Eileen, LaRae and Shelly, it was great to see you. I hit most of my favorite spots in the valley, including Oreganos and SAS (fabric store).

Now I'm off to bed so I can be a happy, productive mommy tomorrow morning. Love to you all!

Vincent

This is the newest member of the family. Vincent has been around, since July, for a while but I just got around to scrapping a layout. I use to make fun of people who scrapped their pets. Well, I figure you've gotta have at least one LO. He is the best kitty. He even puts up with Olivia and all the "love" she gives him.
