Does Size Matter?

Evidently! In this super sized, mega screen, bigger is better world, size matters to most. I just bring this up because my hubby just told me that my biggest fan reads my blog from time to time.

Ok, not really my biggest fan but he is the tallest person reading my blog. So here's to our friend Nick from TCCC.

To everyone else: have a super big day!

Applebees Groupies

Here's my late night Applebees Group, well Chrissy left a little early and Troy is taking the picture. When can a group of SAHMs get a minute of good conversation without wiping noses, butts or the floor? I'll tell you...how about 9-11pm. We had a great time last night, truly we worked on the worlds problems. In the name of "one last time before Melanie leaves" we all got hall passes from our hubbies. We'll see how many more times we can use that excuse. :)

Do A Little Dance

I think it's time for celebration. Last night we got an email saying the "stubborn" bank #2 (probably not really stubborn) has agreed to everything. So now we just need to set a closing date. Praise the Lord! He IS good and His mercy endures forever. That may seem a little overboard but if you knew everything we have gone through from day to day to day to day, you would understand my statement of jubilation.

It's time to really get down to business and get everything packed and then just enjoy our last few weeks in town. Tonight I bought plates and bowls from Sam's club. Tomorrow I am packing the rest of the dishes. That means no more dishes to wash. How awesome is that??? While we're at it we should just eat out every meal until then....Hello I'm dreaming!

My hard working hubby umpired this morning and then loaded up a covered trailer with one set of couches and misc other hard to pack items to take to his parents house for storage. That does 2 things....#1 leaves more room in the UHaul. #2 prevents them getting torn up in the move. (there's a history of that)

I am off to scrap a few LOs for a challenge on ScrapLove. Soon all my scrappy supplies will be in boxes and I'm just not sure if the MIL will really want me dragging my stuff all over her house. She is the best MIL anyone could ask for but there are limits. ha ha

Have a great Sunday tomorrow. Don't forget to take the day off and celebrate what the Lord has done for you. "Delight yourself in the ways of the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart." Psalm 37:4

Sick and Tired

Litterally and figuratively speaking.

The last four days have been a challenge to see what my body can endure. Do I have the flu? I don't know but I have never been hit this hard. My boday aches, my head is killing me and I cough so hard that, well let me just say maybe I should buy some depends...I just want to feel normal again. Who knew that normal was so great? :) Being a full time mom and sick is just too much. Thanks to my wonderful hubby, I had a full days rest today.

Now to the other sick and tired....this house thing is too much. If I could give one bit of advice to anyone looking for a new place to call home it would be this, DO NOT BUY A SHORT SELL HOME!! Why is it called a short sell? It's long and drawn out! We have no control of any decision, like if we get the house and when we get the house. There are 2 banks...one being Bank One giving us headaches. It almost seems like the bank with the 2nd mortgage is trying to make this fall through. Why wouldn't they want this house off of their hands? UGH!

Now to make matters worse, our buyer is getting sick and tired of all this too. I do feel for the guy but his realtor sent a rude email. Not professional Tracy...not professional at all. I hope everyone can just hang in there for 1-2 more weeks until we can get this all done. Worst case....well, we're not even going to talk about that.

For those of you who pray, please add us to your list. #1 for my health and for the rest of the fam too. #2 that our home sale and purchase goes right along with God's will and that we can deal with whatever that is.

Tomorrow is Field Day at the girls elementary school, I'm hoping I feel good enough to go.

Now, I'm totally drained, off to bed.

A Scrappy Week!

Trying to get some scrapping done before I pack up my scrappy place. Here are a few of the LOs that I got done this week.

As Olivia's vocabulary grows we crack up at how she expresses herself. One day in the car I told Olivia we were going to Ethan's house and she said, "Oh, my boy?" Yes, I guess he is her boy, they are friends and find such delight in playing together. They don't even fight all that much. I just had to capture this on paper.

Here is the paper form for Emma's Baptism. You know I have to scrap the big and little things of life. This is certainly a BIG thing.

I love the green with the black and white. I saw a digital LO on Scraplove with this color scheme and had to lift it for my own.

Take a Deep Breath!

This morning was an exhausting and nerve racking start to our day. Inthe wee hours of the morning Little Olivia had dental surgery and came through it with flying colors. I was nervous about handing her off to the nurse and listening to her cry but right away my darling hubby offered me a cup of my favorite coffee and did his best to distract me. Now our little girl has a brand new smile.

Take a Look............

Olivia's teeth BEFORE her surgery. It's amazing how strong stomache acid is, that it can eat away something as strong as teeth.
We are happy to report that the doc didn't find any other issues with her teeth! YEA!!!
Here is our beautiful little Olivia after her crowns are on. Today they look huge and very white but over time they will fade a little.

ReBirth

This is what it's all about!!

Is No News Good News?

On Good Friday we placed an offer on a house and we are still in the battle field trying to pound something out with the banks. When I say we, I really mean our realtors. Georgie and Mandy seem to be doing a top notch job. This short sell deal is really a patience maker.

I am ready to order carpet, hard flooring and select paint. I feel like I really need to go back to the house again but with a friend who KNOWS colors. That person would be Tammy but she is inconveniently located 1200 miles away. So now what?

I hope to have some before and after pics up in the next few months. Hang with me people. Which brings me to another subject....who even reads this blog? Anyone? Leave me some comments. I feel like an island out here in cyber space.

My handsome darling hubby is home from his "guys group" so I really should go to bed now.

Peace and warmth to you all!

I scrapped...YAY!!!

Although I really should be packing up my house, last night I got these two layouts done for some challenges online. I'm a bit of a Scraplove addict, on the bright side I am getting some photos on paper and in albums. The down side I'm not getting my work done at home. YIKES!!!

We're getting closer to having a new house, hopefully we'll know if the banks took our offer today. Yesterday I shopped for flooring for the entire house. It was a bit overwhelming, so much to choose from. You know how it goes, they show you the coolest stuff first and it's also the most expensive. This is not a game people!! Today I hope to start picking out colors for paint. ....Wait, no I'm not! I have got to pack. Anyone reading thing please tell me to pack, I've got work to do. :)

Have a super great day! The sun is shinning and my kids are all healthy. Thank you God!
